Ideas we welcome

Strong proposals have a distinct subject and a clear reason for telling that story now or for keeping it useful over time. We are interested in considered accounts of routes, landscapes, places, travel habits, and travel history. A useful pitch might explain a choice, illuminate a detail, compare approaches, or show how a place changes the way a journey feels.

What to include

Use the Contact page to share a working title, a short summary, the likely reader, and the main points you would cover. Tell us whether the idea depends on a particular place, season, visit, or source. Be candid about what you have personally observed and what would need checking; do not send confidential material or claim access you do not have.

A good fit

We look for clear, original writing grounded in care for place and reader. Pitches should be specific rather than promotional, useful without relying on unsafe or specialist instructions, and honest about limits and uncertainty. Please send a proposal first rather than an unsolicited complete manuscript.
